The ideas for Crystal’s playful and colourful paintings are often sparked by a trip to a vintage store or a walk in nature. She uses acrylic paint to create her layered works, embracing wobbly lines and the perfectly imperfect. 

Crystal completed her degree in Fine Art at Monash University (Though she now strongly believes that you don’t need formal training to be an artist!)

Crystal's earliest memories of being creative are with her nan, Bev, you will notice that her works are signed CBK, the B, of course, standing for Bev. She often finds herself incorporating little pieces of her nan into her work, whether it’s by using a brush with the name “Bev” written on it or by using her vintage ribbon to wrap her orders.
